Does anyone have guidance on Sarbanes Oxley Sample Size? I want to make sure we are testing an appropriate number of items (Based on nature of control and control importance) and that our methodology is up to date.
It varies depending on your external auditor requirements. I'd recommend touching base with your external auditors to ask them what kind of sampling they want.

if you are new to SOX, there is a good book out, "Sarbanes-Oxley for Dummies" (That is the name of the book - no insinuations. It's actually quite informative. I have a copy.)
We've had the same external accounting firm for the last 5+ years and our sample size methodology was fine. They were able to use alot of our work.
We recently switched to a new external accounting firm. I have reviewed their sampling methodology and it is slightly different from ours. I'm just curious how others are set up.
