I am exploring the Certified Risk Professional (CRP) desigination. Any CRPs out there that can give me some advice on how to prepare for this? Anything similiar to the CRCM on-line course?

Thanks,
beegee

If you go to BAI's website, they have a list of suggested reading. I purchased some of the books and read them. There is also a lot of good, free information from the OCC's handbooks on their website. Be prepared to do a lot of reading as they don't narrow in on the subject matter like the CRCM does. Also, having experience in a risk management environment over several years is very helpful. Good Luck!

I didn't take the exam (I was grandfathered when they first introduced the certification), so I can't help you with that, but one thing to keep in mind is the CPE requirement. The CRP requires 40 hours per year, compared to 60 hours in a three-year period for the CRCM. It's very difficult, at least for me, to get 40 hours of CPE in one year.
