We have several pieces of "returned" mail with no forwarding address. How long are we required to keep this mail? We are looking for procedures. Thanks

We film ours and then shred them. As for the time period to keep them I will research that for ya.

I looked up the record retention memo for my bank and we keep ours for 6 years. You may be able to find the info you are looking for under the FDIC website.

Place a note on the account and shred the returned mail. Everything of any importance can be reproduced.
