Customer has 7 transactions on their account for a single vendor (all different amounts).
Customer calls and notifies us that 4 of the transactions are unauthorized and promises to bring in a listing of which ones were unauthorized.

After 3 days, we follow up with customer. She promises to bring in the information.

One week later, still no follow up from customer.

Do we have a Reg E Claim? What the heck do we do at this point?
And I don't believe the customer that 3 are unauthorized, but if provided the information we'll investigate and probably end up refunding.

Ideas? Advice?
Thanks

There's nothing to begin an investigation on, you don't know which ones are authorized and which ones are not. The customer needs to provide you with the trans. they are actually disputing. IMO I wouldn't do anything until she tells you which ones (if any, I agree, sounds fishy) are unauthorized.

Without enough information to know which transactions are alleged errors, there is no error claim. And that is exactly what I would tell the customer when you attempt --- one last time --- to obtain the information. After that, I'd drop it (document your actions) and move on to the next challenge.

And if the customer every wakes up and provides the info, THEN you will have a claim.

Appreciate the input P*Q and John.
That's what I was thinking, but it's nice to have someone say the same thing.
