Are Business Credit Cards subject to Reg. Z rules for APR disclosures or is it exempt?

Credit cards issued to a businss to be used for business expenses would be considered business purpose credit and not covered under Reg. Z. This is true even if the business allows the employee/card holder to occasionally use the card for personal reasons.

However, you should consider providing to your business customer the usual "Reg. Z disclosures" regarding interest rate/APR, card limits, late fees, over-the-limit fees, etc. Will avoid lots of questions later. Also remember than VISA imposes the $0 liability upon lenders even for business cards (I think MC does too, but am not positive). So in the end, the only difference you may have for your business cards vs. consumer cards is the number of cards permitted per account name. As a general rule, we require that each card have a separate card number and display the name of the business and the individual employee at the business. Helps the business keep track of card usage by employee and makes it easier for us to block a card for unauthorized use or when an employee leaves that company.

With the exception of a 226.12.
