I am looking for advice on what the correct denial reason should be...our applicant applied to purchase a rural property. We do have loan program specifically for rural properties however the borrower's credit does not meet the min requirements. The borrower's credit does meet the criteria for other loan programs but the property does not. I am not sure if the denial should be based on credit history or unacceptable collateral. Thoughts?

The applicant's credit history does not qualify them for the type of credit they are applying for. You need to tell them why their credit does not qualify them for the type of credit they applied for.
