We are participating with another bank, they are lead bank. I have always been told we needed an original Loan Participation Agreement, not a copy. Can anyone answer this and if we do need an original, is there a reason why?

We pledge collateral to the FHLB & FRB and they require us to retain original, signed participation agreements.
