We always provide a Notice of Incompleteness under section 1002.9(c). However, our new platform system is generating a notice that reads

Incomplete Application and Denial

Is it correct that it states "......and Denial"? We are not giving a denial reason.

Isn't the denial reason an incomplete application?

It does not state to request the reasons. It reads as follows -

"We are unable to make a decision on your application because it is missing the following information:______. Please furnish this information to us on or before ________ at the address listed above or we will be unable to give your application further consideration."


It does give us the option to include the credit report information and score but not the denial reason (even if we select the option "incomplete application" as a denial reason it will not print it.

Sounds like an apples and oranges situation. It appears to be a notice of incompleteness, but has adverse action disclosures (i.e., credit score information). You need to talk to them and ask what is going on.
