Please help! I'm just coming back from being out of the office for a week and I can't come up with an answer to this.
A customer comes in on 02/27/04 and requests a construction loan as well as the end financing through our bank. On 06/03/04 the customer contacts the bank and indicates that they need to increase their construction line in addition to increasing the end financing. No new application was filled out as none of the information changed (except for the loan amount).
The lender rediscloses on 06/09/04 for the new amount requested. The request went through the appropriate committee's for approval and the construction line was increased. The lender has now termed out the loan.
When completing our HMDA input worksheet, what date should be put down as the application received date?
1. 02/27/04 when the first application was received; or
2. 06/03/04 when the customer indicated that they needed increased funding?
