Our bank is looking to expand into a wholesale lending operation which could hypothetically be in 50 states. Does anyone have a good "free" reference source (i.e. web site) that outlines the requirements for mortgage brokers in each state? I am curious as to what requirements a person must meet to be a licensed mortgage broker (training, education, tests etc).

Look at the Mortgage Bankers Association web-site. I don't have the URL handy, but just google the name and you will get there.
