We have a flood determination form that says the land is located in a special flood hazard area but the building is not. Can we accept that without any supporting proof such as a survey? The flood company had to use something to make that determination so should we / do we have to get a copy of whatever they used??

No, unless you doubt the accuracy of the determination then it is your responsibility to insure the determination is accurate.
