Each month our flood vendor provides us with re-determined flood status based on revised maps. My understanding is that if the property was not in a flood zone originally but with the revision it is now in a flood - we have 45 days to get flood insurance.

Am I correct in my thinking?

Yes. You are now aware the property is located in a SFHA and that is a tripwire that triggers the mandatory purchase requirements.
