Hi all, I'm wondering if it matters which version of Regulation U's FR U-1 we're using.

Our vendor - LaserPro - has the FR U-1 document that indicates it expires on January 31, 2015 on the top right corner. However, I located a FR U-1 online - https://www.federalreserve.gov/reportforms/forms/FR_U-120150131_f.pdf - that indicates expiration is January 31, 2018. The only distinction between the documents appears to be formatting.

Should I reach out to LaserPro and request that they update the FR U-1 document?

I would - you are always required to use the most current form.

Not directly no. But " the bank shall require its customer to execute Form FR U–1 (OMB No. 7100–0115), which shall be signed and accepted by a duly authorized officer of the bank acting in good faith."

There is only one Form FR U–1 (OMB No. 7100–0115) currently approved for use.

You might check your version to make sure you're up to date. It looks like this was updated some time ago.
