We have a mortgage loan where the vesting includes "Jr." with the borrower's name. The borrower also included "Jr." on the application. However, when signing the document, we did not include "Jr." in the signature line nor did the borrower sign with Jr. in his signature. Could this be an issue?

They signed what? Was there a name affidavit in the file?

The trust deed - we do get the name affidavit. Perhaps a legal question?

Yes- and if you have title insurance - then it would be the title company's problem - they insured your lien.

Thank you. (We ran it by legal and their opinion was to fix the problem and redraw documents. It could give the borrower an "out" later on. And the issue was raised whether or not the title co. would insure the loan with this anomaly.)
