Hello -

Please confirm if client signatures are required on the Special Flood Notice the prints with a deterimination if the property is in a flood zone and the property is bare land. We do not require to have flood insurance if it is bare land, but continue to track the property while the loan is on our books.

My understanding is that clients need to sign that notice so they are aware their property is in the flood zone, and if they would decide to build or put any buildings/dwellings on the property we would require flood insurance at that time.

Please confirm and let me know where it is referenced somewhere as well. Thank you.

If there is no building on the property, the flood insurance regulations don't apply, so whatever you what to do is OK since you are in a position to make up whatever rules you want too.
