Are there any requirements in the flood insurance laws that state what the maximum amount that the deductible can be? If so where can I find it?

I do not believe it clarifies. I know you have to look at the entire picture--if your borrower has a high deductible, can it be verified that they could pay if need be. I think it is a matter of safety and soundness for your bank, and what they require.

So the deductibles are decided by each bank? There is no requirement in the law for deductibles?

I think the banks say what they will allow. Some of those deductibles can run in the 1,000's.
I will have to check to see if I can find anything. If I do, I will post it.
