I always send a copy of the letter and envelope we received so the customer gets a really good idea of the waste of money that is going out in their name. In the response letter I have also started including a recommendation that they review the web link to the CFPB's advisory memo to the public on credit repair agencies, their rights and how to effectively dispute credit. It explains everything simply about how credit repair scams work and how they can do everything for free the right way. It also explains that asking for "goodwill" changes or disputing the truth is worthless. Maybe at least some will get a clue that this is a giant waste of their money and stop the letter cycle before we get a half dozen of the time wasters. If you haven't read it, you should:
