Levy Fee

Hello!

We have started to enforce fees for processing liens/levies/garnishments. How does everyone else assess their fee (if you charge one)? Do you assess at the time the notice is received, or at time of processing of the release?

Much of this depends on State law and if you have to honor the levy first before extracting your fee..

I'm in the State of Florida and we satisfy the levy first and if there are any funds remaining, then we take our fee. This is all done at the same time that I place the hold for the levy.
