rating banks on CRM - 12/16/02 03:57 AM
Is there some survey or rating of banks that will show those organizations which set the greatest store on CRM? - not just shareholder spin but see real value in building close relationships - that customer empathy thing.

Okay, I'll bite (maybe it is just too early, and I should probably know the answer, but I don't) What is CRM?

The standard pitch on Customer Relationship Management or Customer Retention Management is that it is cheaper to keep an existing client than to find a new one; hence it's worth the effort.
What this means in the real world is a new teller, whom I have never seen and may have been on the job for 2 weeks, repeatedly calls me by my first name.
So far, this behavior has not annoyed me sufficiently to provoke me to switch banks.

CRM could also be Credit Risk Modeling.
This company claims to offer a ROI (return on investment) calculation for banking CRM.
