Accounting for 30 minute exchage rate loss

So in waiting the 30 minute to send the wire - assuming you can't lock the exchage rate in, how are banks accounting for the difference in the exchange rate.

I think we need to give the customer what we diclosed - but if the rate changes, how are others handeling this?
