How do most banks document the addition of property information (or any other item) to an application? Any information or procedures on how your files are documented would be appreciated!

A lender note to the file or a copy of the correspondence from the customer informing you of the address is all that is necessary. Make sure whatever you use is receipt dated to support the LE delivery timing.
We first do our prequal or preapproval app as a TBD address. Then when the contract is brought in/property identified we fill in the address and other pertinent information. The lender then writes on this application "File Going Live XX/XX/XXXX"
