Reclamations - 04/04/07 02:10 PM

We received a reclamation for a retirmement benefit received by our customer from a foreign source (England). The customer died in 2003 (unknown to us), the direct deposits stopped in October, 2006. Now, in March, we have received a reclamation request for the amount recieved from 2003 through Oct. 2006. My understanding of the NACHA rules is that the originator must notify the NDFI wihin 5 days of knowledge that the recipient has died in order to make the reclamation, therefore, we are under no obligation to remit the funds back to the originator. Is this correct? Thanks for your help!
