Does Tennessee require bank's to allow customers to choose an attorney for mortgage loans? We do not allow customers to shop for services.

Not from Tennessee but this doesn't make much sense to me. I've seen it two ways. Either the client can shop for their own attorney or an attorney isn't required for closing. I hope that you're not pointing them a law firm that the bank engages?

There are five or six States that require the borrower be allowed to select the attorney to do the title work and close the loan in some form or fashion. As far as TN, I am not aware that they are one of them.
