Safe Deposit Boxes

I was curious how other banks handle safe deposit boxes owned by servicemembers. How do you know if a safe deposit box is owned by a servicemember? If the servicemember is unable to pay the box rental fees, do you do nothing with the box until the servicemember is no longer on active duty?
