only if they can sit down as adults and discuss and not sling hash at each other.

Re: "Do we really need a Presidential debate?" Poll - 09/25/08 06:10 PM

should read:

Rather than debate, I'd like to see both of them compete in a game-show type format; the first would be like Jepoardy, the 2nd like Survivor, the 3rd like Big Brother, the 4th DWTS, and the 5th and final would have a Gladiator Theme. The cumulative winner is the automatic president.

Didn't realize I had a limit

I'm kind of to the point of "who cares?".....
Would I like to see a debate.....sure.
Is there any possible way I would change my vote.....NO.

Soooooo, bring on the game show!
(Can we make them dance with their vp candidates???)

I'd like to see a debate, but Obama doesn't want a true debate. He wants town hall meetings with questions. Boring.

I only want debates if the candidates don't get the questions beforehand, and the moderator keeps them on focus and requires direct, specific answers.

If I might interject a serious question - if McCain doesn't show, can they really let Obama have a one on one with Lehrer witout offering McCain the same option, in prime time - based on equal air time?

If McCain does not attend, it will have to be canceled by law, otherwise, it would be seen as an "Illegal Contribution" to Obama.

Ok, that's what I was thinking - but I've heard 'serious' commentators talk about how Obama could use the opportunity to have a 'fireside' chat, and I feared I had missed some change to election law - thanks for making me feel better about my memory.
