Re: From the "people are stupid" file - 12/31/09 04:20 PM

first one the Dad and daughter, as a prank, duct taped her hands together and her mouth then drove down the interstate to "see the reactions..."

2nd one the lady was found passed out in the drivers seat of a stolen vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .700 - legal limit is .08

Re: From the "people are stupid" file - 12/31/09 04:47 PM

high, but not a world record, per wiki.

1.23% takes that.

I honestly don't know why she is still alive!!! How much drinking she must have done over the years to get her body's tolerance up to that level. And she was able to drive - well "sort of" anyway.

And the kidnapping joke, hope that child's mother gets full custody. That man is not fit to be a father!

I certainly hope you are quoting wrong, because BAC is on a 1.0 scale, so 1.23% on a BAC scale means they had no blodd and increased the volume by almost a quarter...

Re: From the "people are stupid" file - 12/31/09 07:08 PM

I did not quote wrong.

In March 2009, a 45-year-old man was admitted to the hospital in Skierniewice, Poland after being struck by a car. The blood test shows blood alcohol content at 1.23%. The man survived. He did not remember either the accident or people he drank with.[41]

1.0 scale = 100%

a BAC of .08 does not mean 8%, but rather .08%. So 1.23% means just that, not 123%.

Unless I'm missing something.

If DQ's BAC was 1.23% she would probably blink.

Re: From the "people are stupid" file - 12/31/09 10:53 PM

if 1.0 = 100%, then there is no way the BAC was 1.23%, or 123%. It is not possile to have more than 1.0, or 100% (kind of like the coaches that say "we got to give 110%...yeah)
