Matt B...you better get here soon because I may not be around tomorrow!! And I may need a DD..can you handle driving through creeks? Water is low right now since we are having a drought so we shouldn't get too wet!!

Re: Happy Birthday??? - 06/14/12 04:16 PM

I have a history of driving into water/snow, it would be nice to do it in a vehicle that is designed for it and would come out on the other side still running!

In my defense, none of my snow/water encounters have been my fault. I only wreck cars on dry roads during the day time smile

I drove into a "puddle" caused by a water main leak a couple of years ago around midnight that was undetectable until the SPLASH! and my car began to float...not my fault.

I ditched it on the highway one winter when a semi in front of me jackknifed and the snow looked like a softer landing. So there. I'm hired again, right?

Re: Happy Birthday??? - 06/15/12 12:50 PM

I'm here, I'm here!!!! We'll see how next year turns out.

Had a great Birthday with my kiddos. My 7 year old son opened the door for me everywhere we went saying "Let me help you mom, it's your birthday and you are getting old". I wasn't sure if I should hug him and thank him or knock him out. I went with option 1 and told him just because I'm old doesn't mean I can't take him out!

Thanks again for the Birthday wishes!!!

That's the problem. He's cute!!! Hard to get mad at him when he calls me old. Although he did say I was a cool mom because I bought a Jeep. So I guess I have to live with being a cool old mom! laugh

Re: Happy Birthday??? - 06/15/12 01:22 PM

Heck take the compliment. I don't know how old your son is but to a 10 year old anyone over the age of 30 is old. It does get better as they get older.

Granted I'll be there in a few years (if I survive the birthdays...), but not quite yet!

Ed, I can't access from work, and more than likely they wouldn't make it through. Besides, she did say they were "just for me" when I got them...so maybe I shouldn't.

Does that mean any other single day? Or simply 14% more likely than on the average unbirthday?

What is the likelihood of death on, say, New Year's Day, compared to any other average non-New Year's Day? Or on Independence Day, compared to all the days between July 5 and July 3?
