Different shoes

This morning I get to work and looked down at my feet and had a black sandle on one foot and a white one on the other. Same style, but different colors.. Imagine my horror!! Nothing I could do about it. AND we have examiners!! Thank goodness my husband was around town and brought me my matching shoe at lunch! I'm sure there are others that have done the same....

Begged my boss to let me wear a junkie pair of flip flops I had in my trunk for the day. Luckily, she let me.

Ive done it more than once actually, but with a black and blue shoe or a black and brown shoe. Sometimes I am still half asleep or in such a hurry that i just grab my shoes and go...and not until I'm in office that I even notice.

wonders where you cretins work that you can wear sandals?

I have done it with a black and navy shoe. And...the heels were even a different height!

we can as long as the are dressy, have at a least a small heel, and your toes look nice.

Have also done it with black & navy. That's what I get for buying the same style of shoe in multiple colors. I would like to think I would notice if they were as different as black & white!

Consider putting a complete change of clothes and shoes in your closet at work. So far I have put to use almost every item. Belt, tie and shirt are the most commonly used. shirt was torn and I didn't know it! Luckily I had a spare.

I've worn the coat from one suit and the pants from another more than once.

I had a (male) employee who came in once with one black and one brown shoe. The real problem - one was slip on and the other had laces. How the h#&$ do you do that?

college kids wear different colored sox on a regular basis now it seems, must be a fashion trend...

They are actually selling girls socks now that are not matches. You can buy a package of 6 socks where none of them match!

I've brought the wrong color shoes before but when I'm getting dressed for the day I notice and end up having to go home to remedy the situation. Never found out later in the day or had mismatched shoes though, yet.

I have about 12 pairs of shoes/sandals under my desk for that same reason.

Explains why DeeQ's desk smells like gin, cigs, and feet ^^^^^^^^^

I've got 4 pair of dress shoes at work (I wear sneakers to and from work) and wear a reversible belt just in case. My house is only 1 mile from my office so it's not a real big deal if I mess something up, but I really do wish there were Garanimals for adults....

TJ - my husband takes his old running shoes and makes yard shoes out of them. I think we need to cull the herd, though. There are shoes everywhere.

I do the same thing with mine. There really weren't that many in there...... I don't think.....

I can wear whatever I want at work.

I wear flats to work, (just easier with the wchool/daycare drop-off,) and keep heels under my desk. My co-worker calls it my stiletto-farm...

They aren't smelly. Other than that, your statement is fairly accurate.

Thank goodness my husband brought my matching shoe at lunch because I ended up taking my daughter to the hospital emergency room later in the afternoon. (Kidney stones!)

OH GEE! One of "Those"

Back in my IT days, I had to hook up a new computer for our HR person. I went to get under her desk and there was a HUGE pile of shoes.

Don't you people have a closet at home??

Not enough room at home, BD. I only have 2 closets...

No kidding. And don't you people have lights and mirrors at home, too?

I can honestly say that I have never gone to work with mismatched shoes, or any other mismatch in dress. (And I'm not talking about what I wore in the late 70s. Everybody dressed like that then.)

There weren't that many in that specific location. There are multiple graveyards in the house. A box under the desk, several pairs under the stairs and let's not even talk about the ones I trip over all day on the landing. LOL
