What difference does it make?!?!?!?!?!
I didn't vote since I didn't see my age. That confused me since it did say "for the ages". If it was "for the ages" why wasn't my aged listed?

Re: A poll for the ages! - 05/30/13 03:15 PM
!! Well, late night trips to WC after a night of drinking is kind of a tradition around here. They used to be the only place open after the bars closed. Of course, now a lot of fast food places are open late.
Your tagline makes me think of Homer Simpson. "I am so smart! S-M-R-T!"

Posted By: PStateBank
Re: A poll for the ages! - 05/30/13 03:26 PM
Around here it was Waffle House...mmm...
My tagline reminds me of a guy I went to school with. Super smart. He was in 8th grade, taking Algebra 2 with a bunch of Juniors. We were sitting in class one day, and all of a sudden a grenade falls out of his book bag... bounces across the aisle and stops... Right under my feet that were propped up on the desk right in front of me. Of course you can imagine how loud it sounded bouncing on the concrete floor. It was not a live grenade, but it was real enough for me. He was soooo smart, but dumb enough to bring that to school.

White Castle was always the place to stop on the way home when the bars closed. My grandmother retired to Florida, and when she'd come back north to visit, she'd have to go to White Castle the first day. I also celebrated the birth of my first child by stopping at White Castle on the way home from the hospital and buying a dozen sliders.

IHOP around here has always been pretty good, but you can find better 'breakfast' places. Some places are only open until like 2:00 and don't serve dinner at all.
IHOP is ok, but way too expensive. I like the local place that serves the cat-head biscuits and gravy. Yumm-o!

Those cats in Tennessee give their all for your breakfast pleasure.

We were delighted to see that a Denny's in Bonita Springs, FL served beer but oh so disappointed that they wouldn't serve it to us because it was after 2am.

Where is there a Denny's in Bonita? We usually do Perkins on the corner of Bonita Beach Rd and 41. AWESOME pancakes.

It was North of there on 41. Might have actually been in Ft. Myers.
ETA: I had to ask my sister and she said it was off of 41 just South of Daniels Pkwy. Farther from Bonita Springs than I thought!
(Remember...it was 2am)

Maybe it's just the Waffle House i'm used to. Come to think of it, i think it's the only Waffle House i've ever been in, and Matt's description of (his local) IHOP comes into play for it.

Overrated place for breakfast: Cracker Barrel. Better for lunch or supper, but the breakfast is very average, mainly because everything tastes like it was made an hour ago.

<<<Definately a Bob Evans kind of guy. Our kids even prefer it to McD's. Which made me very happy when we were out on trips, they would look for a Bob Evans before a McDs.

not familiar with Bob Evans...
not a fan of cracker barrel for any meal...bad experience once, will never return...manager refused to address it when we were leaving (after ordering and waiting 45 minutes for a dinner order that never came)...he offered to give us free drinks while they put our order in...i explained that we were leaving, and the drinks we had drunk we were not paying for...he said he would call the police, i told him please do while i would be calling the 800 number by the register...which i called anyway - they didn't seem to care...will never go back

The manager is a moron! I would be willing to bet that you tell that story any chance that you get (as would I). By chosing to be arse, the guy probabaly lost several hundred dollars in revenue (conservative) by nobody in your party returning and probably others that will hear this. It would have cost him less than $20 of their own cost.... idiot.

I've never had a good experience at Cracker Barrel. I took my sister there for her birthday once and my food was brought out cold. Another time, I went with a college friend and her family; my order wasn't brought out until everyone else finished eating. No apologies either time. Better places can have my money.

Matt, they are based out of Ohio. I know for sure that they have places as far west as St. Louis.
