What kinds of Pa. Dutch food stuff is available? Scrapple? Hot Lettuce? Pot Pie? - (and not the one that looks like a pie that you get at the store.)
What is this stuff, hot lettuce in particular. Sounds like saur kraut to me.
Light on the alcohol in my egg nog, please, and a generous dollop of whipped cream on top just for the he// of it. Warding off triskaidekaphobia today so I'll worry off the extra calories.

OMG!! Can I have a half dozen pickled (beet) eggs? We used to make those after every Easter egg hunt when I was growing up. Man, those bring back memories.

Hot lettuce was something my grandparents made all the time. Endive leaves (not cooked) over potatoes and they made a sauce (heated) that was poured over it. it was kind of sweet tasing and had bacon in it.

I believe the hot lettuce you refer to is called Wilted Lettuce.
