Who Didn't Watch SB50?

Mrs. Noelekal and I used to be rabid pro football fans but in more recent times the whole NFL thing lost its appeal for us.

One may find out more than he cared to know about the game, players, half-time show, commercials, and controversies by reading news sources and here on BOL.

Sounds like SB50 was about "par for the course."

I would not have watched, but was rewarded with fireball and rumchata shots!

Used to be a fan. I remember Super Bowl 1 fairly well (I was a Green Bay fan while growing up in Chicago).

My wife and I have not watched in years (except maybe a few minutes here & there when the Saints played and won).

Too much hype; too many overpaid players; too much business & too little sportsmanship (obviously that was shown this year with the truly childish behavior of Cam Newton).

Don't listen to me; I'm just an old [censored] who has seen better times.

Never been a fan. My husband watches a lot of football so occasionally I will see parts of games, but I never focus in on them at all. I usually attempt to watch the SB commercials at least, but didn't even manage to see many of those this year!

I watched reruns of the Real Housewives of Atlanta instead.

I would watch if I attended a Super Bowl party or if the Vikings were playing. Don't laugh...it could happen...

Tuned in late and caught the end of Lady Gaga singing the national anthem. Felt guilty for not standing because of a discussion either on this site or Facebook. Saw the Broncos kick a field goal to take a 3-0 lead over the Carolina. Fell into a deep snooze until 10 minutes before 1/2 time. Pulled dinner out of the oven and caught Coldplay (yay!). Ate dinner, did the dishes, drove to my father's house to bring him dinner, caught the score while there, drove home, wife told me who won.

So I sort of watched...wanted to see the commercials more than anything...creepy Puppymonkeybaby thing was disturbing....

In other words, you loved it!

Only watched for the commercials....like edAudit I will watch as well when my team the Vikings make it and yes it could happen! I second that the puppymonkeybaby thing was way beyond creepy and disturbing!

We had my in-laws over for dinner, so it was on for her dad until half-time when they left. First time it's been on in my presence for several years. I have no stake in it, I don't watch football, so it's not a good use of a Sunday night for me.

We had it on until halftime. My daughter crawled up in my lap and we turned on Mickey Mouse. It was a little more entertaining than the game!

Did not watch. Caught Lady Gaga's Star Spangled Banner, and then went back about my business...

I worked on work, while my husband watched. I barely paid attention to the game - or the lame commercials.... but I got lots done on my work stuff. (Which didn't seem to matter Monday morning. Didn't seem further ahead... sigh....)

Didn't watch this year. I watch it when the Steelers are in, but other than that, I don't have much of an investment in watching. I catch the commercials on YouTube when I don't watch it.

Puppymonkeybaby....I'm not sure what it says about me that I've watched and rewatched that commercial. I want to look away, but I just can't.

Never a fan, but did watch some when Ditka coached the Bears. To me, football is boring (although not as boring as baseball or golf). It's also more than a little dumb. Ditka, on the other hand, was entertaining!
