From Ocala, we dodged the bullet.
Neighbors on the gulf coast, south of Sarasota are devistated. Over 30,000 linemen brought in to restore power -
Sanabel Island crushed with only access (causeway/bridge) damaged.
Our local Emergency Management is sending all available HAM operators (appx 30) south to try and establish some type of communication for recovery

i saw a slew of emergency housing trailers on the interstate in south louisiana heading east today, trailers as far as the eye could see in both directions. hopefully the power outage is not too long.
