Any other FDIC banks receive FIL-8-2005 today? It's been the brunt of many-a-joke this morning

I'm sure we could complile lots of recommendations here Any ideas?

We want your ideas on how to reduce regulatory burden

On a positive note, however, at least they're asking!

Hey - how come none of the other agencies (i.e. the NCUA) didn't send out similar notices??? I feel so left out!

I know what you mean, I am an OTS shop, but I subscribe to FDIC's email alerts as well. That's the only way I knew about it.

Paperwork Reduction Act? When I was at the OCC when this became a buzzword, we dreaded when the bankers brought it up.

"You're right, Mr. Banker, we do have this new act to reduce your regulatory burden. But you'll need to document it"

They'll need hard copy in triplicate as back up for all the information being proccessed primarily on computer.
