That sounds pretty dumb to me. If they are still using September 11 as the reasoning, "An NFL spokesman said the league had actually first curbed Super Bowl tailgating after the Sept. 11 attacks," then they should cancel the Super Bowl altogether. Or at least screen all people before coming into the parking lot.

Seems to me the NFL was not selling enough $12 beers inside the game.

How about shutting down every mall in America, canceling Christmas, etc. Pathetic that we bend to the threats of the terrorists.

It doesn't even sound like a threat was made -- it's "just in case"

Sivler Bullets (coors light) $5.00 each

etc......

That's just crazy! We shouldnt be looking over our shoulder every day and wondering, "well, what if a terrorist should attack...." We have to move on at some point.

I have plans to visit New York next year and IM not going to stay home just b/c of what happened on 9/11. And Im even going to fly!

There are a couple of radio personalities in South Florida that are hosting an "illegal tailgate party". So they are going to get together right in front of the stadium and have this huge party on Friday. Listeners who have business are donating the food, beer etc. Sounds pretty funny.

If I read correctly they are only prohibiting tailgating within a mile of the stadium. Don't fret it. I've been to Miami plenty and there are waayyy too many place to party outside their "safe zone." But then I was usually there on banking business so I may not be well informed. <eg> Am I the only one here with a sudden urge to Salsa?

Not unreally. You would have to find a lot nearby and have the owner of that lot allow you to be there. And like the article said, the parking area in the stadium is great. It really is a shame.
