Why would anyone be watching Fox News in the first place?

Probably because the air gets even thicker on CNN, MSNBC etc.

Dan Rather was not in the clip.... was he?

So, what makes Bill a non-pillar of journalistic excellence? The fact that you don't agree with his views?

I agree Geraldo is a terd, but please, justify your statements before openly bashing someone. It gets old bro.

If anyone wants a real laugh, go to Mark Levin's website and read the e-mail from a woman who have had ahet ahem experiences with the greatest pillar of truth on earth, Keith Olbermann.

I will have to agree with Geraldo on his main point and that if the drunk driver was a regular U.S. citizen, the Bill O. would not have had the story on his show.

I find Olbermann entertaining, but wouldn't consider him or any other editorialist as a pillar of journalist excellence.

True.

That's the difference between him and what Fox News does.

We know shows on MSNBC such as Scarborough Country and Countdown are editorial shows.

Fox takes their editorial shows and pawns it off as news. Bill O more so than others.

CreditC, as I watched the debate unfold, it seemed to me that both had valid points:

1. The unfortunate death of the two teenagers is strictly cause and effect of the crime of drunk driving. His illegal alien status in and of itself is not party to the crime of the drunk driving and the resulting death. Score point for Geraldo.

2. Given the already illegal status of Mr. Ramos, he did not belong int he country. After the first of his 4 offenses, he should have been sent back to his home country. Exacerbate that he was not sent back with 3 additional offenses, the final resulting in homicides, now he cannot be sent back. He must be prosecuted and jailed, and the American Taxpayer gets to foot the bill. Score point for O'Reilly.

I'd love to see the evidence that Fox portrays O'Reilly's show as news moreso than MSNBC does with Olbermann's.

Well, there is a bit of a difference on O'Reilly's part. We know he is conservative, and mouths off as one. But he does bring people on who disagree with him.

He conducted a very calm and in-depth interview with Senator John Kerry last year, as he did with everyone's favorite actor, Alec Baldwin.

That does add more balance than an Olbermann ever could.

But pure news, nah, more news intersperseed with editorials of his views. I recognize it.
