Does anyone know if Canada has a filing system, i.e., whether Canadian law "requires information concerning the existence of a nonpossessory security interest to be made generally available in a filing, recording or registration system as a condition or result of the secuirty interet's obtaining priority over ....."?

They are very similar to the U.S. For info try www3.gov.ab.ca/gs/services. (Sorry, I don't know how to pull in a link)

It is at the level of the Province in Canada, and each of the 10 Provinces has a system, and I think the 3 territories do as well.

For the one in Nova Scotia, see: http://www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/property/default.asp?mn=282.46.82

Does anyone have a list of them for all of Canada??
