I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my very young sister-in-law Stacey. She is 43 years old and lives in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania.

She has fought a long battle with bone cancer in her pelvic bone. It has now also shown up as small cancerous cells on her brain stem. She was admitted to a Philadelphia hospital last week to treat the brain cells with radiation but a more serious problem was discovered yesterday when her swollen tongue indicated the cancer had also spread to a socket in her sinus cavity.

She has had two radiation treatments to relieve the swelling in her sinus cavity. The pain is less. She wants to go home to Kunkletown so brother in law is looking into arrangements for that.

She is at peace but wants to continue fighting the cancer.

That's good that a lot of the pain is gone. Prayers from Central Texas.....

SIL Stacey will leave the hospital early next week after having 10 radiation treatments on her sinuses; vision has been affected in one eye, so she is wearing an eye patch

Ms. Pale is considering flying up next week - so I would covet your prayers for her, she doesn't fly well, especially alone...

Update:

My sister in law opted to go home rather than enter a hospice. She has bad days and then really bad days....the family is holding up well considering what they are dealing with. Nurses visit twice a day to change out feeding bags and help with whatever they can.

very sad news, my sister in law died this weekend; she was only 41 and with a 13 year old daughter still at home....

we will have a celebration of her life towards the end of this week, I appreciate your prayers for my wife and the family...

Oh Pale - I'm so sorry that your family is suffering this loss - and she was so young. Prayers are headed your way - especially for the children and your wife. This has to be devestating.
