Song Ideas for DVD Photo Movie

For my grandmother's upcoming birthday, I'm scanning some pictures from her life and setting them to music on a DVD. My problem is, I can't find the perfect songs to use. She likes country music, which I don't listen to. I know there are some good country songs out there that deal with life and family and love; I just don't know what they are. Any suggestions?

"Remember When" by Alan Jackson. I think it was probably written specifically for DVD photo retrospectives.

Jamie Johnson - In Color is a song about old photographs. Remember When is probably a better one though.

I did a video for my family for Christmas (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins...the whole shabang)
I used:

It Won't Be Like This For Long - Darius Rucker
What A Wonderful World - Version with Kenny G and Louis Armstrong
And They Do - Trace Adkins

I also used the Kenny G version of Auld Lang Syne.

Not really a lot of country but I wanted music to invoke emotion when they watched the pictures flash from way back when to now.

I put everything together last night, and I think it's going to be great! The four songs I've chosen are:

4. Blessed - Martina McBride

Thanks, everyone, for your input. This will be a very special birthday for my family since my grandma is battling stage 4 lung cancer and may not make it another year. I expect this movie will mean a lot to my family.

You guys were right. It was a hit! My mom was the only one who knew what I was doing, but she never saw the final product until Saturday with everyone else. My grandma had a front row seat, and everyone else gathered into the room for the show. I, of course, had seen it about a million times, so I watched my family's reactions instead. Lots of tears and lots of laughs! After it was over, I handed a copy of the DVD to each of my aunts and uncles, which I know meant the world to them. I was incredibly proud of myself. 16 hours of labor for 16 minutes of video that captures a lifetime of memories...well worth it!

My parents favorite song to dance to was Unforgettable by Nat King Cole. When my mother died, we had a memory book printed and used a lot of the lyrics from the song as captions.
