Confused - 11/10/05 06:58 PM

I have recently moved to another state and it's been very difficult to find a job in the areas I have previous experience (audit and compliance). I have been looking for several months without luck. Most banks here are branches from big banks (outside this state). I like banking and would like to stay on it, but savings are running low. Any advice?

I like small community banks. Have you found any near where you are? When i moved to SC I had a hard time also. I went to the community banks first and had no luck. Then to the big banks. Finally one of the small banks called me. Good luck.

I was tryin' my hand at humor.

I don't think I did all that well.

Oh, well then...yes, of course I was being funny.
Precisely as I was hoping you'd be.
Naturally.

If that's your idea of humor you need to get a better sense of it, if you know what I mean.

Similair.
Different bait. But you still need to let it wiggle in the water.

Yes, everywhere but helping out this poor person that asked a simple question about a job.

Lili, I suggest you post this in general or human resources.

Contact companies that train in those areas. You could get work as an instructor.

I'm not sure where you are but banks are not the only places that use audit/compliance (now I forgot what area you were looking into. But if it's in audit/comp try casino's.

No you didn't. The frivolous threads in the cooler and the couch don't bother me - that's mostly all fun and games, but someone posted a request for help, who is obviously in a tough situation and you respond by suggesting that she prostitute herself. That's not funny, that's ignorant.

That's what I was driving at CubDave but RegC doesn't seem to get it.
