Dormant Account Definition/Rules

I believe most of the dormant account rules are on the state level & I also posted this in the State forum but I'm unable to find what I'm looking for.

My question is, what transactions are considered and what transactions are ignored for the purpose of dormant account status? Our example is the automatic deposit of interest from a CD. That's the only transactions in this account & I believe these transactions are ignored for dormant purposes. Any insight on this or where I may be able to find the actual regulation/definition?
