How to Request Return of an ACH Credit

Our institution originated an ACH Credit (PPD) to a business account at another FI on 6/12/17 using an incorrect account number at the RDFI.

It appears that the 5-business day rule to initiate an ACH Reversal has passed. What recourse does the Bank have to obtain the return of the ACH credit so that we can send it to the correct account?

contact the ACH department of RDFI, explain the situation, and ask if they will return using R06, you will need a letter of indemnification for them.

Yep, that's what I thought but wanted to check to see if there was any other avenue.
