We have a borrower who canceled a HMDA reportable loan application at the very end of 2013, but then asked for it to be reopened in the beginning of 2014.
For HMDA reporting, GIR states that you can only reinstate an application if it is within the same calendar year. So what do I do in my situation? Do I report the same loan number in both years, or can I remove it from the 2013 LAR and just report whatever action is taken this year?
