Private Flood Policy

Private Flood Policy - 01/15/10 08:07 PM

Is this still a true statement?

Under a private insurer, not NFIP or WYO, multiple structures may be covered under one policy. There needs to be a scheduled breakdown of the buildings’ coverages. NFIP and WYO policies require a different policy for each structure.

Yes.

My understanding is that the NFIP still permits multiple structures to be covered under a Scheduled Building Policy. Each covered building needs to be identified with the coverage amount applied to each.

WS - thank you for the clarification - that is still true:

Scheduled Building Policy

The Scheduled Building Policy is available to cover 2 to 10 buildings. The policy requires a specific amount of insurance to be designated for each building. To qualify, all buildings must have the same ownership and the same location. The properties on which the buildings are located must be contiguous.
