Applicant Buying A HUD Home

We have an applicant that we have approved a loan for to purchase a HUD Home. We are told that it could be up to 10 - 12 days before we receive fees from the HUD representative. How are we supposed to issue a GFE within 3 days when we don't have their cost??? Any advise from someone that has dealt with this before??

The fees you will quote on the GFE are based on the providers on your provider list. I would assume HUD won't be using anyone on your list therefore, you aren't held to tolerances. This doesn't help the customer know the true cost of the loan but you've got to give them the best you can. And the best you can do now is quote it as if they are using one of your providers. Once you have the true fees, you can let your borrower know the accurate costs at that point.
