Can a co-signer extend a loan

Can a cosigner extend a note without the Signature of the person on the note.

We don't have anyone sign requests for extensions if the request is just for one month....a monthly payment for example. But I don't know what legal issues are involved. You probably need to check with your legal counsel as it will probably be a matter of state law.
