Is it permissible for a married couple who do not share joint credit and assets to be listed on two separate URLAs. The GSE instructions on how to complete the URLA seem to permit this. Also, what about a married couple with joint credit and assets who ask to be placed on separate URLAs for their own personal reasons. Is this permissible. I do not see this scenario. addressed in the instructions and was wondering how others are treating these scenarios.

Two Borrowers with joint financial information:

Complete a separate URLA for each Borrower.

â–ª Report joint assets, liabilities, and real estate on only one URLA; you do not need to duplicate them on more than one URLA;

OR

â–ª In cases where borrowers are not collaborating when completing the loan application, joint assets, liabilities, and real estate may be duplicated on each URLA
