Can we tell an applicant what their credit score that we receive with their credit report is or does by doing so make us a consumer reporting agency?

If this a consumer loan to be secured by a 1-4 real property you are required to disclose the credit score via the Notice to Home Loan Applicant disclosure required by the FCRA. Other than that there is no prohibition, other than maybe a contract issue with the CRA, to tell the applicant their credit score.
