SAFE ACT - 10/21/10 05:15 PM

In updating our SAFE ACT policy I noticed that there is a requirement pertaining "finger printing" of MLO. We are a small community thrift with a total of 6 loan officers. Are we really going to have to get finger printed? Seems extreme.

tOdd, that's nothing. We are a community bank with two loan officers, but seven people who fall under the definition of MLO.

We're all paying for the bad deeds of a few. My new tag line should be....Banks now employ registered sex loan originators. eek kinda like....if you're a mortgage loan originator, you're a bad, bad person.

So how are you all going to get digitized finger prints?

You can do digitized if you local law enforcement does those (ours does...my carry permit prints are digital), otherwise you can still use the cards, it just costs extra.
