MLO Not Registered

Doing an audit of SAFE and found an MLO that has an expired registration. Now we are verifying to see if she originated any loans since it expired.

Aside from the obvious (updating the registration), is there anything else we need to be concerned with, now?

I would say I'd be concerned with how the lapse happened (isn't someone outside of audit monitoring?) and recommending mangement putting controls in place to prevent it from happening again.
