We are open on Saturday Dec. 31st but will be processing on Jan 3rd business b/c of the holiday. I understand that mortgage loans (1-4 family, home equity) must be posted the day received (and can be backdated to 12/31) but - we are trying to keep this to a minimum because of the mess it creates for our year end reports. Can all other loans be processed on 1/3/17 work? We plan to post notices 30-60 days ahead in the lobbies so farmers are aware.

This is your choice. But you are going to have to choose: You might have to delay your year-end reports or how many individual and corporate tax returns do you think you might impact? Why don't you just process on Saturday as a one-time option?
